Most Valuable Player: Men's Golf

Keith McGirt Wingate University senior Keith McGirt (Fairmont, N.C.) was honored with the Most Valuable Player award for men’s golf. McGirt finished out the year averaging 77.75 shots per round. A four-year starter, McGirt received a B.S. degree in Management at Wingate’s Commencement Exercises on Saturday, May 13. McGirt finished tied for ninth in the Outback Intercollegiate Shootout (Feb. 6-7, 2006) and the J. Ralph Hargett Memorial Invitational (March 27-28). He achieved his low round of the season (74) on two occasions. McGirt shot a 74 in the Coker Invitational on October 25. He also carded a 74 at the Food Lion SAC championships on April 10.
