Danielle
Thompson was named the Most Valuable
Player for the Wingate University volleyball team. The Bulldog volleyball team
earned an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament. The Wingate team compiled a 25-6
overall record and an 11-3 record in South Atlantic Conference play. Thompson, a
junior outside hitter, averaged 1.52 kills per game with 17 service aces. She
also notched 228 digs and 61 total blocks in 103 games this season.
