Ben
Hall enters his first season as assistant baseball coach
at Wingate University. In the spring of 2007, Hall
served as a student assistant coach at Clemson
University. He worked with the hitters and the
infielders. Clemson was 41-23 overall in 2007, advancing
to the NCAA Division I Super Regional. The Tigers
fielded at a .971 clip during the time Hall worked with
the defense.
Hall started his career at
Stetson University, where he hit .321 in 48 games and
was named to the Atlantic Sun All-Freshman Team. Hall
transferred to Daytona Beach Community College where he
hit .323 with five home runs. He was a second-team
all-conference selection at DBCC. In addition, he was named
to the athletic/academic honor roll.
Hall played two seasons for
head coach Jack Leggett at Clemson, where he was a
two-time member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll. In 2005,
Hall hit .319 with five doubles, a triple and a home run
to help the Tigers advance to the Super Regional. In
2006, the Tigers won the ACC regular season and
tournament championships. Hall had the game-winning RBI
single to beat number seven Georgia Tech in the tournament.
Clemson advanced to the College World Series and was
ranked number one in the nation for three weeks during the
season.
Hall graduated from Clemson
in May of 2007 with a degree in Sport Management. While
at Wingate, he will be working on his MBA.
