Matt Crump was the co-captain of the Butler High School baseball team his senior year, and was also named the
Most Improved Player. He was an all-conference selection and was also named to the All-Observer team, All-
Mecklenburg team and was the MVP of the Cape Fear Yacht Club Spring Break Tournament. Crump led the team
to a 29-2 record his senior year, including an 18-0 conference record. He hit .379 his senior year, while leading Butler
with seven home runs and school-record 35 RBI. Born on July 20, 2989, Matt is the son of Scott and Joyce Crump.
