Dustin Hurdle saw limited time in 2007 due to
injury. He made six pinch-hit appearances.
Hurdle
logged solid innings behind the plate in his first two
seasons at Wingate. In 2006, Hurdle hit .245 with a .984
fielding percentage (two errors in 125 chances) in 35
games. Hurdle stepped up his game in SAC play. He had a
.320 batting average and did not commit an error behind
the dish in 17 SAC games.
As a
freshman, he started 17 games and compiled a .183
batting average. Hurdle had a pinch-hit, three-run
double in the top of the ninth inning against #12 Barry
(February 12, 2005) to tie the game. The Bulldogs won
the contest 4-3. Hurdle led American Legion Post 63 to a
29-6 record during the summer of 2004. He hit .380 with
six home runs for Post 63. At Williams High, Hurdle hit
.466 with six home runs and 41 RBI as a senior. He was
All-Conference and the team MVP. Dustin is the son of
William and Dawn Hurdle. |
