Nick Siega-Riz hit .305 for the Wingate in 2007. The Bulldog lead-off man had 68 hits, 10 doubles, three triples, seven home runs, 30 RBI, 23 walks, eight HBP, 52 runs and a team-high 21 stolen bases.

Siega-Riz had a solid freshman campaign in the blue-and-gold. Siega-Riz hit .278 with five home runs, seven doubles, 34 RBI and 32 runs scored. He also logged some innings on the hill in 2006. Siega-Riz was 1-1 with a 3.68 ERA in 7 1/3 innings. He also notched 10 strikeouts.

Siega-Riz attended West Forsyth High School, where he led the team to back-to-back conference regular season and tournament championships his junior and senior seasons. As a senior, he hit .390 with six home runs and 11 doubles. He stole 23 bases, helping West Forsyth compile a 20-10 overall record his final season. Nick is the son of Gene and Robin Siega-Riz.
