2006-07: Sam Holmes saw action in 34 games during the 2006-07 season for the Bulldogs, playing 16.4 minutes per game. Holmes averaged 4.6 points per game, and shot 34% from behind the three-point arc, while dishing out 1.2 assists per game. Holmes contributed 17 points in an early-season victory against Seton Hill.

HIGH SCHOOL: Holmes attended George Washington High School in Danville, Va., where he played basketball for head coach Bobby Martin. Holmes also attended Hiwassee College before joining the Bulldogs. While at George Washington High, he won the best practice player and best free throw shooter awards. A team captain, Holmes was the Coaches Award recipient for his high school program. The 6-2 junior plans to major in business management. Sam is the son of Samuel, Sr. and Deborha Holmes.
