Hey everyone! My name is Lauren Billo and I am a freshman outside hitter from Orland Park, Illinois. I absolutely love it here at Wingate. It is so nice to be able wear shorts and a t-shirt compared to jeans and a coat! The girls in my dorm are super cool; Becca is the best roommate ever. Here is a shout out to my Alumni girls!

The team is so much fun to be around. We are constantly hanging out together and we’re all super close. In fact, tonight (Oct. 25), we are going to SCarowinds, a local haunted amusement park. We have been looking forward to this for some time. I am a little scared, but it should be a blast.

Our season is going really well; we are enjoying every minute of it. On Tuesday night (Oct. 23), we played Lenoir-Rhyne at home and won in four games (30-21, 30-17, 21-30, 30-19). Ryan (Brown) has done a great job of broadcasting on Red Zone! I know my mom and dad love to listen. It was great to see our fans come out and support us. We love you guys!

This week’s practices are going to be intense. We are looking forward to pushing ourselves through these next couple of weeks. Coach has big plans for us. Our next game is away at Newberry on Tuesday, October 30. Wish us luck!
