The Wingate University Bulldog Club provides alumni, parents and friends of the University with the opportunity to support the student-athletes who so proudly wear the blue and gold. All contributions to the Bulldog Club are 100 percent tax deductible and help provide funding for the athletic scholarships

In 2005-06, 402 Wingate students participated on 17 NCAA Division II varsity teams, winning three conference championships and six regional tournament bids. The Bulldogs compete in the South Atlantic Conference, one of the premier conferences in the country.

Bulldog Club members receive monthly newsletters and E-mail updates about the progress of the athletic teams in season. They are welcomed by the hospitality room before home football and at conference basketball doubleheaders.

The Bulldog Club is a way for friends of the University to stay connected and help outstanding young men and women compete in college athletics. Last year, the Bulldog Club had 181 memberships and 194 members. Our goal for 2006-07 is to have a minimum of 200 Club members.

This year, the Bulldog Club will sponsor the Bill Connell Memorial Golf Tournament Friday, October 27 during the University’s Homecoming festivities. We hope everyone will come out for a great day of fun, fellowship, food and golf.
