Doug Coats ran a 29:12 8k at the 2006 Queens
University Invitational. It was his best time of
2006. His top 10k time was 37:22 at the Wingate
Invitational.
Coats was
named to the All-Conference team his junior and senior year in
cross country. His performance during that time was also good
enough to receive MVP honors of the Riverside High cross country
team. While serving as captain of the cross country team his
senior year, Doug ran a personal best 16:30 at the conference
meet. Coats was an outfielder for the Riverside High baseball
team and helped the team to a Conference championship his senior
year. Doug is the son of Dale and Helen Coats.
He plans to major in communications.
