Mark Deweese ran his best 6k time (28:23) of 2006 at the Queens University Invitational. His fastest 10k time (39:23) was at the Wingate Invitational.

Deweese ran his fastest 8K time of the 2005 season at the Food Lion SAC Championship (28:46). A solid student, Deweese was a member of the SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll in 2005.

Deweese was an All-Conference selection in basketball, cross country and track while at Murphy High. He was the team captain in all three sports. Deweese was also an All-Region and All-State runner for his cross country and track teams at Murphy High. Murphy won two conference cross country championships and three conference track championships during his tenure. In 2002, Murphy High was the 1A State runner-up in cross country. Deweese holds the school record in the mile. He scored 41 points in a high school basketball game. Deweese is the son of Tom and Lynn Deweese.
