Nick Stump participated in three races in the 2006 season, with his best finish coming at the Erskine Invitational. He finished in 26th place with a time of 29:50. Stump also had a strong finish in the 2006 SAC Food Lion meet, where he finished 33rd with a time of 29:58.

Stump ran his fastest 8K time of the 2005 season at the Erskine Invitational (28:26). Stump was a member of the SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll in 2005. Coach Johnson looks for Nick to contend for a spot on the All-SAC and All-Region teams this year.

Stump earned All-SAC and All-SAC Freshman team honors in his first year in the blue-and-gold. Stump finished 14th with a time of 28:28 in the 2004 Food Lion SAC meet. His 8K times were very consistent, as he finished between 28:28 and 29:52 each race. Stump ran a 35:10 10K to finish 32nd in the NCAA regional race at Wingate (Nov. 6).

Stump was captain of the cross country and track and field teams at Green Hope High School. The MVP of the cross country team as a junior, he earned second team All-Region honors the same year. The cross country teams at Green Hope won two conference championships and a regional championship during his tenure. A captain of both the cross country and track teams, Stump led Green Hope to the league track title his junior year. Nicholas Stump was born March 16, 1986. He is the son of David and Lori Stump. Nick is majoring in Social Studies Education.
