Ben Benshoof will battle for a starting role at
tackle for the Bulldogs in 2007. In 2006, the
Wingate passing game was first among SAC teams
(and eighth in NCAA Division II) at 273.8 yards
per game. Also, the Bulldogs ranked second in the
SAC in total offense per game with 342.7 yards per
contest in 2006. Benshoof was an All-Conference
and All-Mecklenburg County offensive lineman at
North Mecklenburg High School. He led the team in
pancake blocks his senior year with 28. Benshoof
did not allow a sack his senior season. |
