Nelson Woods joins the Wingate family after a distinguished career at Burns High School in Lawndale, N.C. A three-year varsity letter winner, Woods was the team MVP and an All-Star team selection. He earned awards as a running back and a free safety for the Burns Bulldogs. Woods will give the Bulldogs a viable option in the backfield during the 2007 season.
