2005-06: Chet DeLong had a solid first season for the Bulldogs. He shot a 76 on two occasions, equaling his low round of the season. DeLong tied for 25th place at the Jack Shadwick Invitational (Oct. 24-25) with a 76-80=156 posting. He also shot a 76 in the first round of the Carolina Sands Intercollegiate (April 1). DeLong participated in six tournaments as a freshman. On the season, DeLong averaged 82.43.

High School: DeLong was a three-sport standout at Madison High School in Madison, Ohio. He was a three-year captain of the golf team. In addition, he was a four-time all-conference selection in golf.
