Evan Schaller proved himself to be one of the best cover defensemen in the conference in 2007. He started every game for the Bulldogs last season. Another year of experience will increase Schaller’s knowledge of the team’s defense game plan. He will be counted on for increased leadership for a defensive group that returns all three starters from last season. Schaller spent the fall semester studying abroad in Wingate University’s prestigious Wingate-in-London program. In 2007, Schaller was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District III at-large second team (college division).

High School: Schaller played at East Syracuse-Minoa High School for Coach Todd Freeman. During his high school career, he was named to the all-central New York third team twice and first team all-league twice. He played in the central New York Exceptional Senior game. Schaller was also named team defensive MVP as a senior.
