Matt Van Liew made the transition from defender to
goalkeeper last season. Van Liew played in six
matches and started four in goal. He made eight
saves and had a 1.80 GAA.
Van Liew saw action in one game for the Bulldogs in
2005. Matt played soccer and golf at Deptford High
School. His soccer coach was Steve Wink.
Van Liew was All-Tri County Conference first
team in both soccer and golf as a senior. He was
captain of both teams as a senior. His parents were
both collegiate student-athletes. His mom (Carol)
played lacrosse and basketball, while his dad
(Roger) played basketball.Van Liew was the number
