In
2006, Katie Bullard scored three goals. Bullard
scored the match-winner in a Bulldog 2-1 win over
SAC opponent #4 Tusculum. Bullard led a defense that
allowed 1.34 goals per game.
As a result of the efforts of Bullard and her
defensive teammates, Wingate held its opponents to
23 goals (in 20 matches) in 2005. She participated
in seven matches for the Bulldogs in 2004 as a
freshman. Bullard was a three-time All-Conference
and MVP selection at Statesville High. She served as
co-captain her junior and senior years. Bullard
received All-County honors her junior and senior
years. She is a SAC Commissioner’s Honor Roll
