December Spotlight:  Transfer Students

With the new semester quickly approaching it is important to remember some of the basic transfer regulations.  Below is information regarding two-year college transfers.

Two-Year Transfers

1)      If a SA is a qualifier with no previous attendance at a 4 year institution he or she is eligible for competition, practice and athletics aid during the first academic year in residence at the certifying institution provided he or she meets the following criteria

                                                               i.      The SA has spent at least one full time semester at the two-year college

                                                             ii.      The SA has completed 12 hours of transferable credit acceptable toward any baccalaureate degree program at the certifying institution

                                                            iii.      The SA has presented a cumulative minimum GPA of a 2.0

2)      All other qualifiers, partial qualifiers and non qualifiers

                                                               i.      SA has spent at least two full time semesters at the two-year college

                                                             ii.      Has satisfied one of the following provisions

a.       Graduated from the two-year college

b.      Completed 12 hours of transferable degree credit per full time term of attendance with a cumulative minimum GPA of a 2.0
