September Spotlight: Official Visits
Before coming on an official visit a prospective
student-athlete must register with the NCAA Eligibility Center (formally
known as the NCAA Clearinghouse) at
www.ncaaclearinghouse.net. (Bylaw 13.6.2 Requirements for an Official
Visit)
Before coming on an official visit, a prospective
student-athlete must present a PSAT, SAT, PLAN or ACT score taken on a
national testing date under national testing conditions, or an ACT test
taken on a state testing date under state testing conditions. This can be
provided on an official or unofficial high school transcript. (Bylaw
13.6.2 Requirements for an Official Visit)
Wingate University can provide the following to a
student host
1)
No more than $30 a day and an additional $15 per day for each
additional prospective student-athlete (PSA) that the host entertains.
These funds exclude the cost of meals, not to exceed three meals a day.
The funds should not be used for the purchase of souvenirs.
2)
A complimentary meal if the student host is accompanying the PSA
during the official visit.
