Felipe Fidalgo
picked up his first collegiate victory against Illinois College in the 2005-06
campaign. Fidalgo played four matches at the sixth flight for the Bulldogs as a
freshman.
Fidalgo was a member of the
tennis and soccer teams at Ashbrook High School in Gastonia. He played the number two and
number three singles positions. Ashbrook won the conference championship during
the 2003 and 2005 seasons.
Fidalgo has extensive national
and international amateur experience. He played the USTA circuit for six months.
In addition, he has logged time on the Colombian tennis circuit. Felipe is the
son of Guillermo Fidalgo and Marcela Uribe. Felipe was born in
Bogota, Colombia, South America.
