2006-07:
Shawn
Kindley
played a majority of the season as the number two
singles player, playing five matches in that spot. She
also played two matches in the three spot, and one match
in the four and five spot. Kindley picked up a win with
three different doubles partners, including having a
perfect 1-0 record with Ashley Keefer.
2005-06: Kindley
had 10 total wins for the Bulldogs in her freshman
season. She had a 4-3 record in number six singles play.
High School:
Kindley played
number one singles for coach Chris Hoffman at Lincolnton
High School. As a senior, she was undefeated in the Midwest (2A)
Conference, leading the Lincolnton Wolves to their third
straight league title. Kindley was All-Conference three years
and All-County for two seasons. A two-time team MVP and team
captain, she compiled 69-42 record during her four years.
A member of
the Beta Club, Kindley’s family has deep ties to Wingate. Her
father (Ken) and her sister both attended Wingate. Ken
Kindley played baseball for the Bulldogs. Shawn is the daughter
of Ken and Terry Kindley.
