High School: Rebecca Bloemer was the captain for the Assumption High School team that won the Kentucky state championship this season. Assumption won three state titles during Bloemer’s career (2004, 2005, 2006). In 2006, she was a key player as Assumption was ranked number two in the nation by www.prepvolleyball.com.

Bloemer was named an AAU All American, as she led her KIVA club team to a silver medal at the AAU Championships in Orlando. In 2005, her Assumption team was named Prep Volleyball National Champions.  

Coach Collier: “Rebecca is an extremely hard working and competitive player. Rebecca has much high-level experience in both club and high school. Much like Rebecca Brezovec, one of the top hitters in our region, Rebecca Bloemer is an over-achiever and regularly out-plays middle blockers who are much taller. She is an exciting addition to our team as a player and as a person.”
