Clark led her team to the North Carolina 4A state
championship in November. Prior to the State
Finals, Clark was involved in a serious car accident,
sustaining numerous injuries.
Clark put forth a courageous effort and led her team to the title
over three-time defending state champion Providence HS.
For her efforts, Clark was voted MVP of the state
tournament. Along with current Wingate freshman
Brittany Horner, she led Person to a runner-up
finish at the 2005 state tournament. A highly skilled
setter, Clark has set for the N.C. Challengers volleyball
club. She was a USAV All-Region Selection, leading the
N.C. Challengers team to a second-place finish in the
Carolina Region.
Coach Collier:
“Amanda is a feisty competitor as a setter and a
spirited team leader. In addition to her talent as a
setter, she will bring additional enthusiasm and
intensity to our team. She is certainly one of the top
setters in both high school and club volleyball in our
entire region. Amanda will be a welcome addition to our
program.” |
