She played in 90 games on the year and missed time due to injury, but still managed to have a team-high 326 digs along with 14 service aces. The vocal leader was vital to the Bulldogs’ 25-8 overall record in 2006 and their SAC regular season and tournament titles. She also won Wingate’s Herschel “Red” and Mary B. Edwards Scholarship Award in 2007. Siegrist was voted the Best Practice Player and received the Leadership Plus Award last season. She is on the President’s List every semester with a perfect 4.00 GPA. Siegrist plans on attending law school after graduation. Her contributions are significant, considering the fact she has battled serious knee problems for the past two seasons. 2005: In 98 games, Siegrist recorded 253 digs with an average of 2.58 per game. She was named to the 2005 Food Lion SAC All-Tournament team after tallying 16 digs against Presbyterian College on November 13, 2005. 2004: Siegrist led the Wingate volleyball team as a freshman in digs with 497(4.64 per game), landing her on the 2004 All-Freshman team. High School: Siegrist was the team MVP her senior year at Pine Richland High School, where her coach was Kris Ruppert. Siegrist was a team captain for two seasons. Pine Richland won the WPIAL title in 2001, advancing to the Pennsylvania state title game the same year. Siegrist was an honor roll student four years in a row at Pine Richland. Amanda is the daughter of John and Lisa Siegrist. Coach Collier: “Amanda has been our starting libero for the past three seasons. She is the ‘heart and soul’ of our team. Amanda is our strongest and most vocal leader, an intense competitor and truly drives our team to be their best. Her leadership will be a huge factor in our success.” |
